The area

Just a few hundred meters outside the door you will find Solgårdsparken, which is a lovely green area maintained by volunteers and is a gathering point for several music and community events throughout the year.
Vallø Slot and Slotspark are just 4 km away with good opportunities to have lunch in one of the many cozy corners of the castle park or enjoy a gourmet dinner at Vallø Slotskro.
Køge town, which offers a fantastic historical story as a market town, is located just 6 km drive from the center. Køge has been voted Denmark's best commercial city several times and nominated for many other awards. Køge also offers cozy farms and lots of cafés and commercial life. For 700 years, there has been a market on Køge Torv, including the trade of meat, fish and vegetables, and today is no exception. Every Wednesday and Saturday year-round, citizens gather for market day on the large, cobblestoned square with the statue of Frederik VII in the center.
From the homes, you can see the beginning of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Stevns Klint, on the horizon. There are many surrounding historical elements close to this unique location.
If you are more into sports and fitness, there are also plenty of opportunities for this in the area. Within a radius of 5 km, you will find both Vallø and Køge Golf Club as well as Strøby Hallen with a fitness center and sports club attached, where there are several sports and activities to choose from for all age groups - not to mention the opportunity to practice water sports in the open sea right outside the door.
In everyday life, it is only 1 km to Strøby Egede Center with several grocery stores, bakers, a dentist's and doctor's office, and other useful shops.
