Filmlageret - Lejeboliger

This community living project in Copenhagen gives you an attractive location in a rapidly developing neighbourhood in Amager with great access to public transport, the city centre and Amager Beachpark just 5 minutes away. 

Filmlageret, named after the site’s previous function as a film storage facility, is made up of two buildings. All the apartments for people of all ages is loacted in the new building designed by Spacon & X with a diverse collection of apartments and characterful architecture which was awarded by Copenhagen Municipality in 2021. The other building is a transformed industrial building with student apartments.

Bridging different groups of society and creating a common ground is the main inspiration for Filmlageret. Every design feature has been carefully curated to encourage a sense of community: throughout the building, you will find no less than 10 community spaces where you can cook, chat and connect with your neighbours. 

There are two commercial spaces on the ground floor, including a cafe, to bring life to the community, as well as a large and relaxing garden space and three terraces. One of the terraces is located on the roof of the building, offering one of the coolest rooftop common spaces in all of Copenhagen, where you can barbecue with your friends and neighbours while enjoying the views of the city's roofs.
